Webinar on ‘Career Insights & Finance Sector Entrepreneurship’
The Career and Placement Cell in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organized a Webinar on the theme ‘The Entrepreneurial Series: Session I – Career Insights & Finance Sector Entrepreneurship’ for students of the FY B.Com/BBA(FS)/BCA/B.Voc(ST) and M.Com Part I. The Webinar was organized virtually through Google Meet and YouTube on 19th February, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. 72 participants attended the same.
The session was hosted by Ms. Sakshi Talaulikar, student of FY BBA(FS)-B. Ms. Harshita Poojari, student of FY BBA(FS)-A introduced the Resource Person for the session, Ms. Manalee Verneker, the founder and CEO of Financial Wisdom, a privately established financial services firm based in Margao, Goa. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from Financial Planning Standard Board, USA and Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM) from American Academy of Financial Management.
The Speaker addressed the students on the topic – Indian finance Sector. She concentrated on a wide spectrum of areas such as an entrepreneur, a leader and a manager, including the prime disruptions in the financial sector entrepreneurship, and career opportunities in the finance sector. She also highlighted the necessary credentials and skills essential to be a successful financial entrepreneur. Ms. Vernekar made her content very interactive through several practical examples and inquisitive questions.
The Resource Person answered all questions put forth by the participants. Ms. Anslet Sebastian, student of FY BBA(FS)-A proposed the Vote of Thanks. The Webinar was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Trisha Vadil.
