The IMTR was started in 1981 with the aim of providing much needed formal Training Programmes such as Diploma in Business Management (DBM), Tourism, and other courses relevant to the needs of managers in the corporate world, as well as Central and State Government officials. The IMTR was renamed H. M. N. Gaunekar Institute of Management Training & Research as a tribute to the Founder President of the Mandal – the late Adv. H. M. N. Gaunekar.
H. M. N. Gaunekar Institute of Management Training & Research has pioneered several Management and Training programmes in the State.
Registered with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the Institute’s carefully crafted programmes upgrade the skills, knowledge and attitudes of professionals across the country.
MRF, Goa Shipyard Ltd, Sanofi-Aventis, Meta Copper and Alloys Pvt. Ltd., Hotel Leela, Syngenta, Cipla, etc. are some of the companies that the Institute has been involved with through its Training programmes.
