Sports Orientation Program for the students of M.Com Part-I and Part-II

The Post Graduate Department of Commerce at VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics in Margao, Goa, organized a Sports Orientation Program for the MCom Part I and II students on 8th July 2024, from 9:15 am to 10:00 am, in Classroom T-304. The session aimed to promote physical fitness, encourage participation in sports activities and to orient students on the various sports activities and equipment offered by the College.

The college Director of Physical Education and Sports, Mr. Dewaraj Hirekurabar, led the orientation. He spoke about the importance of physical fitness, the benefits of regular exercise, and the various sports facilities available at the college. Mr. Hirekurabar highlighted how participating in sports can improve overall well-being, teamwork, and leadership skills. During the session, students were introduced to different sports activities and events organized by the college. Mr. Hirekurabar also shared information on how students can join sports teams and participate in inter-college competitions.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment where students asked questions about the sports programs and facilities. Mr. Hirekurabar provided detailed answers and encouraged students to take an active role in the college’s sports activities.

The Sports Orientation was a great success, providing a total of 28 M.Com Part I and II students with valuable information on the importance of physical fitness and the benefits of participating in sports. The students left the session motivated to engage in physical activities and take advantage of the sports opportunities offered by the college.
