MoU with Global Chamber of Saraswat Entrepreneurs
VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao, Goa, took a significant step towards strengthening its ties with the industry by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Chamber of Saraswat Entrepreneurs (GCSE) on 14th August 2024. This MoU is designed to foster collaboration in several key areas, including Management Development Programs (MDPs), guest lectures by prominent industry leaders, and other initiatives that will be mutually beneficial.
The primary objective of this MoU is to bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing students with a more comprehensive understanding of the industrial world. Through this partnership, the college aims to enhance the learning experience by offering real-world insights and practical knowledge that are crucial for students’ professional growth.
The MoU will also facilitate the trainings for the faculty and the students of the college, monthly series of talks by the members of the Chamber, sessions for the parents, trainings for the administrative staff of the college, certificate courses for the students and the general public, panel discussions etc.

Expected Outcome of the Activity: The MoU is expected to provide students with better access to prominent entrepreneurs for guest lectures, panel discussions, conferences, seminars, and field visits. It aims to strengthen the Academia-Industry Connect while offering training programs for both staff and students. The MoU will also facilitate the offering of Certificate Courses for students and the general public. Additionally, the Chamber will adopt a Centre of Excellence in Sales and establish a Placement Centre within the college premises.
