Life Skills Session on “Living A Healthy Lifestyle’’
The Life Skills Committee of the College organised an Online Life Skills Session as a part of 30 Hours 21st Century Life Skills Certificate Course for the First Year BBA(Financial Services) students on 28th October 2021 from 12:15 p.m. to 01:15 p.m. using the Google Meet platform. The topic of the session was “Living a Healthy Lifestyle’’. The main objective of the session was to create awareness of unhealthy eating habits, provide knowledge on healthy eating habits and to encourage incorporating healthy eating choices in order to live a healthier life.
The Resource Person for the session was Dr. Joline Fernandes, Immunity, Lifestyle and Wellness Consultant, Founder of Dr. Joline’s Clinic. Assistant Professor Racheal Goes welcomed the Speaker and the participants. Ms. Ruth Pereira, student from FY BBA(FS)- B introduced the Resource Person.
Dr. Joline Fernandes commenced the session by stating the importance of a healthy lifestyle. She explained the various types of latest diet trends and its ill effects on health. She further discussed the unsustainable diets that should be avoided, how to identify sustainable diets, habits that needs to be changed to stay fit forever, ways to get rid of sugar cravings, healthy eating habits inorder to prevent hormonal imbalances and healthy eating habits to reduce fat and obesity. She suggested various tips for developing good eating habits and getting rid of the unhealthy eating habits. Dr. Joline Fernandes concluded the session by addressing the queries of the participants.
52 students attended the session. The session ended at 01:15 p.m. with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Asmi Naik from FY BBA – A. The session was compered and coordinated by Asst. Prof. Racheal Goes. Overall, the session was interesting and interactive.
