Life Skills Session on “Interpersonal Skills”
As a part of 21st Century Life Skills Certificate Course, an online session on the topic “Interpersonal Skills” was conducted by the Life Skills Committee of the College for the First Year B.Com and BBA(Financial Services) students. The main objective of the session was to familiarize the students with various interpersonal skills so as to help them to interact appropriately and effectively. The Resource Person for the session was Ms. Priya Almeida, Language, Soft Skills and Wellness Coach.
At the onset Assistant Professor Racheal Goes welcomed the Speaker and the participants. Ms. Renusha Fernandes, a student from FY BBA(FS) introduced the Resource Person. Ms. Priya Almeida started the session with an overview of interpersonal skills and it’s importance in creating and building healthy relationships and communication at workplace. She further elaborated on various measures to manage different types of interpersonal communications in everyday life such as speaking over the phone, giving presentation at work, expressing our emotions through facial expressions, writing an email, sending an invitation, sending a text message, sending and receiving information. She posed a few question to the students on interpersonal skills and concluded the session by addressing the queries of the students.
33 students attended the session. The session ended at 03:00 p.m. with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Meghana Yadav from FY BBA(FS). The session was compered and coordinated by Asst. Prof. Racheal Goes.
