Life Skills Session on “Creativity, Curiosity and Innovation”

As a part of 21st Century Life Skills Certificate Course, a session on the topic “Creativity, Curiosity and Innovation” was conducted by the Life Skills Committee of the College for the First Year B.Com and BBA (Financial Services) students on11th May 2022 from 03:30 p.m via Google Meet.

The main objective of the session is to help the students to recognize their potential in contributing to an environment that fosters creativity and innovation. The Resource Person for the session was Ms. Janhavi Dani, Corporate Soft Skills Trainer, Pune.

At the onset, Assistant Professor Racheal Goes welcomed the Resource Person and the participants. Ms. Snigdha Bhattacharjee, a student from FY BBA(FS) introduced the Resource Person. Ms. Janhavi Dani started the session by providing an overview on creativity and discussing students’ opinion about the term creativity. Thereafter she elaborated on how creativity helps in perceiving the world in new ways, finding hidden patterns, and generating solution to diverse problems. She further discussed the importance of curiosity in being a precursor to creativity and innovation. Thereafter she asked students’ to share instances where they have projected their creativity. She concluded the session by asking students to meditate during the session so as to clarify their thoughts to foster an environment of creativity and sharing a few tips on how students can practice being creative and innovative.

27 students attended the session. The session ended with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Meghana Yadav from FY BBA(FS). The session was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Racheal Goes.
