Investor Hub Activity 3
FY BBA(FS) students from the Department of Management Studies organized an Investor Hub activity for all the students of BBA(FS) and BBA on 8th July 2023. The event aimed to foster engagement, learning, and teamwork among the students. The Investor Hub activity took place from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm and consisted of two exciting activities: “Codesprint: Race to the Finish Line” and “Treasure Trail: Uncover the Hidden Reaches.”
The first round of the Investor Hub activity was the “Codesprint: Race to the Finish Line.” The participating students were divided into eight teams for the initial round of coding challenges. Each team was given a word and a corresponding code. The teams had to decipher the code and provide the correct code for the next word given to them. This activity tested the students’ coding skills, logical thinking, and ability to quickly analyze patterns. The teams competed against each other to finish the race and reach the final destination.
After the conclusion of the Codesprint round, the top-performing teams advanced to the second round, known as the “Treasure Hunt: Uncover the Hidden Reaches.” Out of the initial eight teams, four teams qualified for this round based on their performance in coding. In this round, the teams embarked on a thrilling treasure hunt adventure. The second round commenced with an interesting coding question presented to the four qualifying teams. The team that successfully solved the coding challenge was given the opportunity to go out first in search of clues for the treasure hunt. The remaining three teams were given a riddle related to Business Management, Finance, or Accounts. They had to correctly guess the answer to the riddle, which would guide them to search for the next clue. This activity not only tested the students’ problem-solving abilities but also their knowledge in various business-related areas. The riddles in the Treasure Trail activity were carefully crafted to incorporate various topics, such as financial statements, budgeting, investment analysis, and financial ratios. The students had to utilize their knowledge and critical thinking skills to interpret the riddles and proceed in the search for hidden clues.
The Investor Hub activity witnessed active participation from all the students. A total of 82 students (eight teams for the initial coding round and four teams for the treasure trail) enthusiastically engaged in the activities, showcasing their coding skills, teamwork, and business knowledge. The students demonstrated high levels of energy, competitive spirit, and eagerness to learn throughout the event.
Towards the end of the Investor Hub activity, the winning team and runner-up team were awarded prizes, acknowledging their exceptional performance. The event concluded at 12:00 noon, leaving a positive and lasting impression on the participants.
