The theme of the event was “Business Chronicles: A Journey Through Time”. 2 students from SY BBA and 3 students from FY BBA(FS) competed in the following rounds: Human Algorithm (Human Resource round) – Warren Fernandes, Growth Gambit (Finance round)- Dhruv Kadkade, Timeframe Triads (Marketing round)- Sydon Gracias, Leadership Quest (Best Manager round)- Afzal Shaikh, and Mindfire Odyssey (Mystery event)- Suyash Patki and Sunil Danapnavar. The TechTrendz Club of the Department of Computer Science organized Artsy Streetography, a photography competition for the students of BCA and B.Voc.(ST) from 20th to 25th January 2024 in online mode. The primary goal was to assess their photography skills, adhering to the theme “Street Photography”. Participants had to send their photos to the organizing committee within 5 days, starting from 20th January.

The Cultural Council organised the U. N. Bene Quiz competition on 24th January 2024 at the Conference Hall of Ravindra Bhavan. The Quiz competition began at noon and concluded at 2 pm. The Quiz Masters for the competition were Mr. Anish Dhopeshwarkar and Mr. Suraj Kamat.
Nine colleges participated in the quiz, which began with a Written round, wherein thirty General Knowledge questions were displayed on the screen, with successive questions put forth after each minute. It was an elimination round and four teams qualified for the next level – the Buzzer round. A total of 25 questions were asked for the Buzzer round, based on topics like science and technology, culture and heritage, business, economy, music, and entertainment.

The Post-Graduate Department in association with the Training, Internship and Placement Cell organized an online ‘GU-ART Preparatory Sessions (Commerce)’ for the Third Year B.Com students from 18th to 30th January 2024 from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm via Google Meet platform. The objective of the preparatory sessions was to train the TY B.Com students to prepare for the upcoming GU-ART exam in Commerce which is conducted by Goa University. The Sessions also aimed to help the final year students to secure a good rank in commerce subject in order to obtain admissions to M.Com Programme in Colleges of their choice.
Seven students of M.Com Part II, along with two faculty members of the PG Department delivered sessions on various topics as per the GU-ART Syllabus alongwith a special session on Guidelines while answering GU-ART and Assistance in solving MCQs.

The Department of Computer Science participated in the State level Intercollegiate IT Fest “COLOSSUS XI” organized by Don Bosco College, Panaji on 19th and 20th January 2024. 19 students from the Department participated in the event.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Directorate of Higher Education, Directorate of Technical Education, Directorate of Planning Statistics & Evaluation, and Directorate of Information and Publicity, marked the celebration of National Youth Week on 19th January 2024. The event aimed to enlighten and empower the youth on various aspects crucial to their development. The celebration commenced with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding Swami Vivekananda photo. 112 students attended the programme.
Three informative and engaging orientation sessions were conducted during the event. The first orientation session on “Financial Management as a Youth” and was led by CA Mitali Talawadker. The session delved into crucial aspects of financial literacy, empowering the youth with essential knowledge to manage their finances effectively.
The second session, focusing on “Mental Fitness,” was conducted by Dr. Veena Kantak an expert in the field. She provided valuable insights into maintaining mental well-being, addressing challenges and fostering resilience among the youth.
The final orientation session was on “Mera Yuva Bharat – My Bharat Portal and Opportunities for Youth.” Smt. Celina Rodrigues was the Resource Person for the same. She explored the various avenues and opportunities available for the youth through the My Bharat portal. The session aimed to guide students in making informed choices for their future endeavour.
