BCA Department started with hands on Training session for T.Y.B.C.A. Students in Android. The Resource person is Ms. Siddhi Bale, Analyst in Web & Mobile Development, Commscope. These sessions are conducted weekly for the entire Semester.

NCC Army organized an orientation program for NCC cadets; the Resource Person was Col. Nand Kishor.

Friendship Day Celebration – 4th August 2015

Friendship day was celebrated in the college premises by the Students’ Council. Students participated in large numbers. There were games, dances, spot prizes arranged for the students and all the students participated with enthusiasm. Students collected photos on the theme of friendship and an effective PPT was prepared. The best photos were given prizes.

Talk on “INTERPRETATION OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS” – 6th August 2015

BBA(FS) Department organized a talk on “Interpretation of Financial Statements”. The talk was delivered by CA. Satyaprakash Kamath, from ICAI. Mr. Kamath started his talk in an inspiring way by highlighting the importance on the basics of accounting and the importance of financial statements for the financial services students. He told the students about the uses of balance sheet and the different types of financial statements.
The speaker related the financial aspects to the stock markets which was very useful for the understanding of the students. The students found the session very inspiring and extremely beneficial. CA Kamath has agreed to have another workshop for the BBA(FS) students

Study Tour – 7th August 2015 -11th August 2015

A study tour to Pune was organised for the S.Y.B.Com students who have opted for Retail Management. Students visited different retail stores in Pune. The students were accompanied by the teachers Ms. Sheetal Arondekar and Ms. Preksha Chopdekar from the Dept. of Commerce.

Report on Motivational Talk – POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE (PMA) – 10th August 2015

An interactive session on Positive Mental Attitude was conducted by the Career and Placement cell for the Third Year Undergraduate & Second Year Post-Graduate students in order to motivate and inspire them towards adopting a positive life approach.
The resource person was Mr. Pravin Sabnis from ‘Unlearning Unlimited’, a renowned Corporate Coach, who has conducted over 1800 training workshops. During the session, Mr. Sabnis enlightened students on how a positive mental attitude can boost energy, heighten inner strength, inspire others, and help us garner the fortitude to meet difficult challenges in life.

Because of the conduct of different activities during the workshop, the attendees enjoyed the session at the fullest. The session was attended by 50 students and the entire Career and Placement Cell team.

The Career and Placement Cell Training Programme – 11th August 2015

The Career and Placement Cell has started various training programmes for the Final year students of all streams. Ms. Nandini Kunde is the resource person for Resume Writing and Interview Skills, Mr. Rohit Chopra is training students to compete for Banking Entrance Exams, Mr. Sunil Naik and Mr. Sumit Kumar are providing MCA entrance exam coaching to BCA Students.

Skill Development Talk

The skill Development Committee organized Talks on Confidence building & setting priorities for all the F.Y.B.Com/BFS/BCA students in separate batches. The talk was held in the smart classroom. The resource person was Ms. Michelle Teles, Counsellor.
In her talk she explained a three step method of building Self-Confidence

Step 1: Preparing the Journey: Looking at what you’ve already achieved and thinking about your strengths.

Step 2: Setting Out: Building the Knowledge you Need to Succeed and constantly managing your mind.

Step 3: Accelerating Towards Success

Feeling your self-confidence building and Making the goals a bit bigger, and the challenges a bit tougher as you progress.
And under Establishing Priorities as a Student

Time Management Tools: in which you need to make a task lists and a calendar to manage school, family, and social responsibilities.
Ways of Attaining Success: By working efficiently, being persistent and being open to feedback. Approximately 200 students have attended the talk and the Counsellor as well as the skill development Committee members have encouraged the students to be free to approach the college Counsellor on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 8.00 am and 1.00 pm.

Inter-Collegiate Baton Relay Competition – 12th August 2015

The Sports Council organized the First Inter-Collegiate Baton Relay Competition in the College premises. Ninety students representing nine Colleges participated. Govt. College Quepem bagged the Winners Trophy in both Girls and Boys events. Mallikarjun College, Canacona were the Runners Up in girls’ category and C.E.S. College, Cuncolim were the Runners Up in Boys category. The Chief Guest Mr. Vikram Verlekar gave away the prizes to the winners. Mr. Omkar Prabhudesai proposed the Vote of thanks.

Inauguration of Students’ Council , Cultural Council and Sports Council – 17th August 2015

The Students’ Council, Cultural Union and Sports Council were inaugurated by Dr. R.B Patil, Principal M.E.S College. Dr. Prita Mallya welcomed the gathering. Ms. Alison Almeda introduced the Students’ Council members. The Cultural Council members were introduced by Mr. Sunil Naik and Mr. Sudhakar Naik introduced the Sports Council members. Mr. Alkesh Desai is the elected General Secretary of Students’ Council, Mr. Akshay Mukatkar the Cultural Secretary and Sports Secretary is Mr. Omkar Prabhudesai.

CA. Subrahmanya Bhat administered the oath to the newly elected and nominated members. The Chief guest of the function Dr. R. B. Patil was introduced by Ms. Anjali Sajilal. Addressing the council members Dr. Patil stated the responsibility of the council members towards the development of co-curricular activities in the institution. He also congratulated council members for getting elected as the youth leaders. Mr.Alkesh Desai, General Secretary of Students’ Council proposed the vote of thanks.

Seminar on “The World of Birds” – 18th August 2015

The Nature Club “Vasundhara” organized a seminar on Birds for the Bird Lovers in association with Birds Institute of Goa. The Bird Institute of Goa is a charitable trust located in Panjim. Mr. Savio Fonseca Treasurer of the institute was the resource person for the seminar. Mr. Savio spends most of his time in birding and bird photography.

Mr. Savio Fonseca vividly brought the world of Birds in front of the students. He enlightened the students with interesting facts about birds. He discussed about Amur Falcon and its exceptional endurance, Physiology of birds-different shapes of feet, beaks, tails, wings, etc. for different purpose sexual dimorphism, breeding dimorphisms, brood parasitism, and camouflage etc. He also talked about food habits, habitats of various birds, roles of birds in pollinating, insect control, environment cleanup and part of food chain.

He also informed that there are 400 plus species of birds in Goa-resident, migrant, breeding, non breeding and Goa is the 8th hottest biodiversity hot spot of the world. He also mentioned some special birds of Goa like Flame throat bulbul, blue eared kingfishers, Malabar dragon to name a few. He discussed about the threats to birds and emphasized the need to conserve the environment.

He encouraged the students to take bird watching as hobby as it is the world’s fastest growing outdoor recreation. The students were motivated by the seminar and plan to do bird watching in and around the campus.

NSS – International Youth Day – 19th August 2015

Goa State AIDS Control Society in association with National AIDS Control Society and Aayush Ministry organised a one day state level program and technical session on ‘International Youth Day’at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium Taleigao-Goa University campus. ‘Kadam Bhadhaao – A step towards change’ with the theme to mark the significance of today’s youth in the development of nation. 15 Students from the college were fortunate enough to participate in this exceptional event along with NSS Programme Officers Dr. B P Sarath Chandran and Ms. Namrata Haldankar.

From all over Goa, around 6,000 to 7,000 participants from different colleges, higher secondaries, high schools, NGO’s etc participated in this event. The event began with a very pleasant orchestra, where famous national integration songs were sung, followed by some marvelous dance performances to portray the culture of India. Students were addressed by Union Minister of State for AAYUSH Mr. Shirpad Naik who was Chief Guest and Chief Minister Mr. Laxmikant Parsekar was the Guest of Honour.

While addressing the youths, Mr. Naik pointed out that Goa being a prime tourist destination is facing a major challenge of keeping HIV at bay, hence he urged the youths to support government’s endeavor to spread awareness about HIV and make the state AIDS-free. The Chief Minister urged the students to pledge their support to those affected with HIV. Health minister appealed to all participants to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and sought their support to accomplish zero HIV cases in the state.

Program ended with the launch of a new mobile application on HIV/AIDS titled ‘HELP’ (HIV Education and Link to Prevention).

Intercollegiate Patriotic Singing Competition – 22nd August 2015

The Cultural Council organized an Intercollegiate Patriotic Singing Competition. There were two categories of participation in the competition viz. Group and Solo. Twelve colleges from all over Goa participated in the event. The programme started with an invocation song followed by inauguration of the programme by the Principal.

Judges for this programme were Mr. Naguesh Kamat and Mrs. Preetal Faldesai from RMS HSS. Participants showcased their talents through melodious songs and also put forth their talent in the form of exhibits, various cultural dressing styles representing different states .
Govt College, Sanquelim was the Winner and St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa was the Runners up in the Group category.

Ms. Ruchi P. Verekar, student of Govt. College, Khandola won the First Place and Ms. Harsha Ganpule of Govt College, Sanquelim, won the Second place in the Solo Category.

VVA Students participate at “Ek Rakhi Sainikasathi” programme (VVA Primary/Secondary Section)

14“Ek Rakhi Sainika Sathi” a special programme organised to send rakhis – a bond of love and affection between brothers and sisters – from the Goan sisters to the Indian soldiers posted in difficult terrains along the border areas of the country.
It was a special programme held at Kala Academy on 29th August 2015, observed by the Chaitanya Pratisthan, a Goa based NGO. Over 20,000 rakhis, were handed over to the Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar, to be sent to various posts along the Indian border areas for defenders of the country.

Vidya Vikas academy contributed of about 400 Rakhi. Radhika Agarwal, Sravani Desai, Anjali Choudhary, Raul Rathod & Siddhesh Kale attended the function.

VVA Celebrates India’s 69th Independence Day (VVA Primary/Secondary Section)

Vidya Vikas Academy celebrated India’s 69th Independence Day with a brief but solemn ceremony. Shriya Rallabandi welcomed the gathering. The Principal, Dr. Alan Rodrigues hoisted the flag. This was followed by the National Anthem and the Oath taking ceremony for the NCC cadets.

Shruti Chaturvedi gave an eloquent speech and the Pre-Primary children sang a song. The Principal then spoke to the students on the importance of the day. Principal also presented the certificates to the teachers sent by the HRD Ministry for securing 100% CBSE results in Class X and Class XII.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Tr. Satya Sharma and the Vande Mataram sung by Trs. Usha, Archana and Mamatha.

The Pre-Primary students also conducted a special assembly to mark the Independence day. A tri-colour sandvich making activity was held on this occasion. A wonderful display of art work was seen on the display boards along the pre-primary section corridors.

GRK Master Class (Kare College)

10GRK Master Class was conducted on the 8th August 2015 at Ganesh Daivajnya Auditorium at 10:30 a.m. The Resource Person for the class was an eminent legal luminary, Shri. M.S. Usgaonkar, Senior Advocate, Bombay High Court who spoke on the topic ‘Matrimonial Property Regimes under Family Laws of Goa’. The talk was widely attended by students and faculty and was followed by an interactive session.

Monsoon Hike – Classes 5 to 7 (VVA Primary/Secondary Section)

On the 07th August 2015 at 8am, the students of Class 5, 6 &7 of Vidya Vikas Academy set out on the annual monsoon hike at the Chandreshwar Bhootnath Temple, Paroda Goa. Each class set out in a separate bus along with the class teacher and assistant teacher in charge.

On reaching the destination, the excited students had to walk up the steep slope of a hill. The walk was tiresome but the view of the temple in the midst of the breathtaking locale amazed many. The students had to rush down as they noticed a swarmof mysterious looking moths. The students had to walk carefully as the stone steps were slippery due to the rains.

The students walked a long way; down the hill, across water canals in the blistering hot sun. Finally, the students were treated to a dip in a stream. The students splashed and cooled themselves while the teachers looked over them protectively. The students enjoyed themselves, but joked that the monsoon hike was without the monsoon.

Mr. Omanakuttan along with other sports teachers co-ordinated.

Memorial Service: People’s President Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (VVA Snr. Sec. Section)

A special memorial service was held by the students of Vidya Vikas Academy on Saturday, 1st August 2015, to honour the memory of our former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

Rich tributes were paid to the extraordinary life and achievements of the Missile-Man turned People’s President. Senior Secondary students presented little known facts from his life which highlighted his simplicity, humility and compassion.

The portrait of the late President was garlanded by the Principal of Vidya Vikas Academy, Dr. Alan Rodrigues. The lamp was then lit by him and by the Vice Principals Mrs. JobleBijoy (Sr. Sec) and Tania Monteiro (Secondary & Primary) and the Pre-Primary In charge, Mrs. Hilda Barbosa and Enny D’Souza.

A prayer service was followed by a hymn (sung by the students of class 8 ) and an interesting PowerPoint Presentation . A wallpaper featuring quotes from Abdul Kalam’s writings and speeches was displayed in the foyer.

Talk on 3D Modeling – 2nd July 2015

A talk on 3D modeling was organized for FY/SY BCA in association with Mr. Ryan Vaz , founder of INFINYT 3D, Verna.
3D modeling was initiated in the year 1984 has undergone tremendous change over the years . Mr. Ryan informed the students about the 3D modeling software “Google sketch “ and convenience of its usage. Using this free software one can easily design number of 3D models . He presented the number of models designed in his company. It was a thrill to watch the beautiful models.

He also informed about the 3D printing technology and the printing process. A video on 3D printer and printing process was shown to the students.
3D printing is an upcoming field and there is a huge potential in this domain. Mr. Ryan also highlighted the career opportunities available in this domain.

Nature Club Inauguration and Orientation – 3rd July 2015

Nature Club of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics – Vasundhara was inaugurated by Mr.Pramod Kamat, President of Goa Hiking Association. He enlightened the students about the various activities conducted by GHA for students such as hikes, treks, overnight camps, etc. and emphasized on the importance of these activities in a student’s life. He also explained how these activities could help students to remain physically, mentally fit and enable them to face various challenges in life with zeal and enthusiasm. It also helps them to come close to Nature and understand it in order to preserve it.

The program ended with vote of thanks by Ms. Mamta Kumari, Convenor, Nature Club. The program was compered by Deepika Sachdeva of SY B.Com.

Inauguration of NSS Activities – 4th July 2015

The NSS Unit was formally inaugurated by Mrs Deepali Naik, Director of Women and Child Development, Goa with the additional charge of Director of Social Welfare. The function began with an invocation song by Ms. Sarvada Acharya followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp. Dr.(Mrs.) Prita D. Mallya , Principal welcomed the gathering and stressed to the volunteers that they are the privileged few and they have to help those less fortunate than themselves.

NSS Programme officer Mr.Vishal Chari outlined the various activities planned for the academic year. The Chief Guest in her inaugural address highlighted various schemes offered by the Goa Government for the betterment of women and girl child in the State. She briefed the volunteers on some important schemes and their significant features. she made an appealed to the NSS volunteers to come forward to reach out to target population with the schemes which could not be effectively implemented due to lack of human resources .

The Chief NSS Programme Officer Dr. B.P. Sarath Chandran in his vote of thanks highlighted three important programmes to be taken up by the NSS unit this year namely Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana under which Damodar College will adopt the village of Rachol, Computer literacy drive and a financial literacy campaign.

The programme was attended by around 100 NSS volunteers, College faculty and NSS Programme officers Mr. Vishal Chari, Ms. Preksha Chopdekar, Ms. Namrata Haladankar, Ms. Sonia Kalekar and Ms. Shameem Memon.

Report of “Talk on Animation” – 11th July 2015

A talk on “Careers in Animation” was organised on 11th and 17th July 2015 for BCA students .The talk was organized in association with Arts and Animation academy , Navelim Goa . The resource person for the talk was Mr Francis D’Souza .

Students were informed about the technological growth in Animation that has taken place over last few years . Animation has spread its roots in every field like education, technology , movies ,advertisement sports etc. This technology is very user friendly and is open to every student irrespective of his technological background . Various courses in animation are available and duration of these courses span from three months to a year. There are ample of job opportunities available in the field. The talk was followed by a discussion.

A Report On Self Defense Talk – 13th July 2015

The Equal Opportunity Cell organized a Demonstration session on Self Defense. The Session began with the welcome address by Dr. (Mrs.) Prita D. Mallya Principal followed by the introduction of the Resource person by Mrs. Ekta Agarwal , co-ordinator of the program. The Resource person for the session was Ms ANGELA DE ABREU NAIK, first woman from India who will be inducted into the OFFICIAL TAEKWONDO HALL OF FAME, 2015, 1st Woman in India to hold Class II – KYORUGI & POOMSAE, declared best International Referee at 1st India Open, 2010. She has been the State coach at various championships and her students have bagged loads of medals in national and international arena. Ms. Angela Naik has knowledge of Boxing, Ju-Juitsu, Kungfu, Judkado, Hapkido, Tonfa, Budo, Nanchaku & other weapons. Ms. Angela Naik believes that actions speaks louder than words. She emphasized that one has to have a strong head and presence of mind more than anything else.

Ms. Angela along with some student volunteers demonstrated the self defense techniques by role playing different situations where the attackers are on bike, in cars, group of attackers, in a bus, attackers trying to choke, attacker trying to grab you from behind, from front, in which one could defend themselves against attackers.

This was followed by an interactive session where the students enthusiastically shared their apprehensions and Ms. Angela reassured them by suggesting what needs to be done.This session was an eye opener for all the participants making then aware of how vulnerable a person is and at the same time gave them the counter measures to defend themselves.

“WHAT NEXT?”– A Talk on Career Opportunities – 14th July 2015 – 15th July 2015

The talk session, “What Next” on career opportunities was conducted by the Career and Placement cell for Third Year B.Com, BCA, BBA- FS and Second Year M.Com. students which focused upon their professional and career opportunities that they can pursue.
The resource persons were Dr. Harip Khanapuri Vice-Principal from S. S. Dempo College of Commerce & Economics, Mr. Sanjeev Mendes from Aury Mendes Representations Inbound & Outbound Tours, Mr. Arjun Rebello from Milestone Financial Consultants and Mr. Naguesh Sardessai from People’s Higher Secondary School.
During the first Session, Dr. Harip Khanapuri ignited the thought process in the audience of where they want to see themselves 5 to 10 years down the line, and stressed that their search to answer the question will certainly help them to decide how they should act to achieve their goals. He emphasized that the need of the hour is to take up careers which revolves around one’s interest / hobbies so as to get the personal and professional success. He also highlighted on various professional courses and gave insight of CA, CS, ICWA, and MBA which offers a high pay package. He emphasized that one should focus on developing skill set as only degrees will not be sufficient to survive in today’s competitive world.
Mr. Sanjeev Mendes during the second session focused on the career opportunities in travel, tourism and hospitality. He threw light on emerging areas like Medical Tourism, Sports Tourism which can be thought of as career options. He highlighted on various courses available which are internationally recognized and that help to study the basics of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry and understand what it takes to become a successful travel entrepreneur. Mr. Mendes stressed that it is our dedication and commitment towards our job that ensures successful career.
Mr. Arjun Rebello advised the students to take up career that will make them work happily and with enthusiasm. He informed the students about various career options in financial services and mentioned that it is target oriented. He stressed that in the field of finance it is most important to know what is going on in the market to keep oneself moving. Mr. Rebello also stressed that it is the personal skills and intelligence that is must for a career in finance.
All the three speakers of the day highlighted that possession of skill set, good personality and commitment is required for an individual to grow and prosper in career. All three sessions were attended by around 200 students.
15th July 2015

The Career and Placement cell conducted a session for the interested students in the field of Civil Services (UPSC and GPSC). The resource person for the session was Mr. Naguesh Sardessai who stressed upon the need of taking up Civil Services as a preferred career option. While talking about UPSC, he informed the students about various posts that can be given to them and what will be their responsibilities. He gave the detailed outline of different stages of examination and what is expected in these stages.
He shared his deep concern about the performance of students in civil services, what skill set they need, how to prepare for the exam, and also offered his help in all possible ways. He also gave insight of Goa Public Service Commission to the students. Around 70 students attended the session.

Session was attended by members of career and placement cell namely, Mr. Sumit Kumar (Convenor), Mrs. Sheryl Da’Silva, Ms. Prachi Kolamkar, Mrs. Namita Neurenkar, Ms. Cinola Vaz and Ms. Ulpa Waingankar.

Report on Talk on “ONLINE TRADING” – 17th July 2015

BBA(FS) Department organised a talk on “Online Trading”. The talk was delivered by Mr. Pravas Ravi , from Geogit Paribas BNP Financial Services
Mr. Pravas Ravi started his talk by showing a video on Geogit BNP Paribas, the institution he works for. He told the student about the basic concepts of stock market, investments etc. The students were told about the various investment opportunities available. He also stressed upon the point with an example of his client that people should start investing early and how they benefit by doing so. He showed the students online trading on the terminals like how to punch orders, buy or sell stock etc.

He ended his talk by making an important note to the students that the Geogit Financial services firm is always open for recuitment and motivated the students that they should not hesitate to take up marketing jobs as it helps to develop their own personality. The talk was inspriring encouraging and was beneficial for the students of Financial Services to know about investing.

Orientation on Online Resources and Certificate Programmes – 20th July 2015

The orientation session on Online Resources and Certificate Programmes was conducted by the Career and Placement cell of Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics on 20th July 2015 for Third Year B.Com., BCA, BBA and Second Year MCOM students which focused upon different online resources and certificate programmes that they can make use of and pursue.

The resource persons were Mr. Sumit Kumar for Department of Computer Science (BCA) and Miss. Cinola T. Vaz from BBA Programme. During the Session students were informed about the various online certificate courses viz. NCFM, ICICI Learning Matrix, Spoken tutorials, NPTEL, and their benefits. Resource persons explained and informed them about different processes involved in it.

The students were enlightened about the various online free resources available and how it can be used in their academics. The session of 15th July was attended by 80 students and the feedback obtained from the students was good. The Session was attended by all the members of Career & Placement Cell. We are thankful to all the resource persons, and the students for the smooth conduct of all the sessions.

Report of “Talk on Careers in Networking” – 21st July 2015

A talk on “Careers in Networking” was organised on 21 July 2015 for FYBCA students. The talk was organized in association with “Jetking” ,Margao Goa . The resource person for the talk was Mr Faizal Sheikh.

Students were informed about the technological growth in Networking that has taken place over last several years . Networking has become a backbone and a main driving force of every organization . He informed them about the various Networking courses offered by Jetking and the job opportunities in the relevant filed. The duration of the courses span from three months to a year. There are ample of job opportunities available in the field . The talk was followed by a discussion.

Talk on Mentoring – 24th July 2015

The Mentoring Cell organized a talk on ‘Mentoring’ for the faculty . The resource person was Dr. Aldina Braganza e Gomes Associate professor, Department of Psychology, Carmel College for Women, Nuvem Goa. All the faculties from B.Com, B.B.A, B.C.A and M.Com participated for talk. Assistant professor Vishal Chari introduced the resource person and Assistant Professor Mandar Fatarpekar proposed the vote of thanks. The resource person explained the mentoring practices followed by colleges, primary things required for mentoring in colleges and what will be the role of college faculties in mentoring. The resource person further helped to understand the type of mentoring program our college should take up. She explained to what extend faculties should get involved in addressing students difficulties and suggested, some common difficulties of students can be addressed by calling experts.

International Tiger Day – Special Assembly (VVA Primary/Secondary Section)

29The students of Class 6 had a special assembly on World Tiger’s Day on 29th July 2015. The theme was : Save the Tigers. It began with a poem on ‘Saving Tigers’ followed by ‘Tiger Facts’ which brightened up the audience with extra knowledge on Tigers. Two children enacted a small skit wherein one tiger cub and the other a human. While the cub spoke about how his father was killed by cruel humans; the human shared with the audience how humans had unnecessarily slaughtered tigers for ages.

Five slogans were cited on the subject of the special assembly. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
Tr. Sushma co-ordinated the assembly.

Workshop on Soft Skill (Kare College)

It is a widely known fact that soft skills get little respect but will make or break a person’s career. To make the students aware of the Soft Skills and their Role and Importance in the students life, “a 3-day workshop on effective communication skills and personality development” has been organised by G.R. Kare College of Law dealing in Soft Skills (27th July – 06th August, 2015) in three batches. The resource person was Ms. Priya Almeida. The main topics covered were development of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, interpersonal skills, managing people, leadership, etc. The workshop was extremely participative and helped students tremendously in honing up their soft skills.

Inauguration of Smart Class (Kare College)

Vidya Vikas Mandal’s G.R. Kare College of Law inaugurated its first Smart Classroom on 25th July 2015. The inauguration was done at the hands of Dr. Nandini Vaidyanthan, an author, mentor and teacher of entrepreneurship.

Such classroom is set up with an endeavor to provide ICT enabled instruction and also to make education interesting, to help students in a better concept formation and understanding. This will also develop innovative teaching methodology.

Dr. Vaidyanathan delivered a lecture as a part of the ongoing lecture series, “GRK Talks”on the topic “A woman entrepreneur in a man’s world”. ‘GRK Talks’ takes place on last Saturday of every month. Eminent personalities from various fields are invited to the law college campus to deliver talks on diverse subjects. The talks are open to members of the public and distinguished speakers from all over India have been invited to deliver the talks.
