Shri Nitin Kunkolienker

Nitin Kunkolienker is a widely recognised Indian business and institutional leader who has distinguished himself across Corporate, Technology, Hospitality, Social and Educational sectors. Known for his transformational leadership, strategic clarity, and integrity, he has consistently strengthened organisations, shaped policy, and driven impactful growth in every leadership role he has held.

In the corporate sector, Nitin played a pivotal role at D-Link India (now SmartLink India), where he served as Vice President and later as Director on the Board. He also contributed to the leadership of Gigabyte Technologies, Lanner Electronics, and Dynalink, helping steer these organisations through phases of expansion, governance maturity, and long-term strategy development. He has also served on the Board of Titan Time Products Ltd, Goa. His corporate contributions span building robust policies, driving operational excellence, and supporting sustainable business growth.

As an institution leader, Nitin was founder President of Verna Industries Association, today recognised as one of Goa’s most vibrant industrial bodies. His tenure of 8 years as President of the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry marked a turning point for the institution—he strengthened its leadership, enhanced its advocacy capabilities, and played a key representative role in shaping industry-centric policies. His efforts supported Goa’s economic progress and positioned the Chamber as a proactive, respected voice for industry.

On the national stage, Nitin has held influential positions in MAIT, serving four years as Vice President, five years as President (2017–2022), followed by two years as President Emeritus. He currently as Chairman Advisory Council, providing leadership to India’s electronics and IT hardware sector. His contributions have shaped India’s industrial policy ecosystem and positioned MAIT as a leading national body. He has also served on the Board of ASSOCHAM India, the CII National Executive Council for 4 years, and was also a part of subset of CII’s ASSCON committee, where he contributed significantly to India’s corporate, industrial, and social sector development. He also led the Goa Management Association as President for five years, strengthening its role as one of the region’s key management institutions.

A strong advocate for education and academic excellence, Nitin serves as President of Vidya Vikas Mandal one of Goa’s largest and most respected educational institutions, serving nearly 6,000 students. He is Chairman of Vidya Vikas Academy (CBSE) and Chairman of G.R. Kare College of Law. He also serves on the Board of Governors of IIT Goa and contributes through its Research Advisory Board, Finance Committee, and Building & Works Committee. He has been closely associated with the International Centre Goa, engaging with national and global thought leaders, scientists, and policy experts.
