Bastille day was celebrated on the 14th of July, 2015 by the French students of Classes 7,8,9,10 to commemorate the day, with the help of their French teachers Miss Farheen Khan and Miss Ashtria Pires.
The programme was planned well by the teachers and it began with Miss Amanda Dias explaining the importance of this day. The students of class 7 added a touch of glamour to the programme by performing on Ben l’oncle soul’s ” Soulman “. The programme continued with the students of class 8 singing the soulful “Aux Champs Elysees”. Spot prizes added an extra twist to the programme. Some jeux de rôles were enacted by the students of class 9. Bevan and his group enthralled the onlookers with their edition of Khaled’s “AICHA”.
The wow factor of the event was a special canteen that the students just couldn’t resist. It included a spread of nutella crêpes, chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, éclairs and the dish of the day triple layered cake in the colors of the French flag.
The event concluded with French national anthem “LA MARSEILLAISE”.
