Monsoon Hike – Classes 5 to 7 (VVA Primary/Secondary Section)
Report By: Ms. Astira Pires
On the 07th August 2015 at 8am, the students of Class 5, 6 &7 of Vidya Vikas Academy set out on the annual monsoon hike at the Chandreshwar Bhootnath Temple, Paroda Goa. Each class set out in a separate bus along with the class teacher and assistant teacher in charge.
On reaching the destination, the excited students had to walk up the steep slope of a hill. The walk was tiresome but the view of the temple in the midst of the breathtaking locale amazed many. The students had to rush down as they noticed a swarmof mysterious looking moths. The students had to walk carefully as the stone steps were slippery due to the rains.
The students walked a long way; down the hill, across water canals in the blistering hot sun. Finally, the students were treated to a dip in a stream. The students splashed and cooled themselves while the teachers looked over them protectively. The students enjoyed themselves, but joked that the monsoon hike was without the monsoon.
Mr. Omanakuttan along with other sports teachers co-ordinated.
