Badminton Intramural Tournament (Men & Women) Singles
The Department of Physical Education and Sports took the initiative to organize a Badminton Intramural Tournament for (Men & Women) Singles on 12thJuly & 13th July 2024 in the College Multi-Purpose Hall, from 12:00 pm onwards. A total of 86 participants (65 Men and 21 Women) participated in the tournament.
The event began with the instructions from Mr. Dewaraj Hirekurbar, College Director of Physical Education & Sports. The tournament followed a knockout format, with fixtures determined by lots. The preliminary round matches for both men and women were played in 1 set of 21 points each. Semi-finals, third-place matches, and finals were played in 3 sets of 15 points each. The results were announced at the end of the tournament, and prizes will be distributed on 15th August, on the occasion of Independence Day. The tournament concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Saurabh Raikar, Instructor in Physical Education.
