Session on Healthy Transition into the Working World
The Training, Internship and Placement Cell, in association with the Counseling Cell, conducted a session on “Healthy transition into the working world” on 20th February 2024 at 11.30 am in Hall-2 of the College. The Resource Person was Ms. Elsa Lumia Da Costa, Consulting Psychologist & Health stress expert, Margao Goa.
The objective of the session was to enable the students to have a safe transition into working world and cope with uncertainty of future. The session was commenced with welcome address by Ms. Eshani Bakhle, College Counselor.
Ms. Elsa began the session with students brainstorming the contextual differences between college and work-life, and the qualities required to adjust to these changes. She guided students on building qualities such as discipline, punctuality, time management, personal growth and contentment. The speaker also discussed the statistical and practical differences in these qualities.
She also spoke about the work environment and the importance of work etiquette, dress code, skills of professional communication, team spirit and emotional self-regulation in work-settings. The session concluded with a Q&A segment. 144 students attended the session.
