Campus to Corporate Training
The Placement Cell organized its pre-placement Campus to Corporate Training for the registered participants in five sessions on 15th, 16th, 17th, 20th and 25th March 2023. The Resource Person was Trainer Lorraine Correa Fernandes- Soft Skill Coach for 91HR and an IELTS/ English Trainer for EduAdvise International.
The objectives of the program were to prepare the students for Campus to Corporate Jobs transition; to give inputs into writing their resumes, facing interviews, learning corporate etiquette and resolving personal development issues through detailed interaction and Q&A sessions.
During her five sessions, Ms. Lorraine Correa Fernandes conscientiously covered a range of topics including the art and elements of first impression, how to write a good CV, types of CV(brief and detailed), skills necessary to stand out during an interview, high performance communication, power of body language, types of body postures while sitting and standing, types of handshakes, importance of elevator pitch, types of clothes, shoes, perfume to be perfect on the day of the interview and also what questions we can ask the interviewers, art of departing and most importantly how to confidently answer an interview. She meticulously conducted several exercises throughout the training session which kept the participants attentive and involved. She focused on situations in which candidates may find themselves during an interview and stressed the importance of the approach that a candidate takes to tackle the situation. She concluded her sessions with an array of important and bonus tips which will undoubtedly be beneficial to the students once they enter the job market.
