GU ART Preparatory Sessions
The Post-Graduate Department in association with the Placement Cell, as a course promotion initiative organized GU-ART online preparatory sessions for the UG students across all Commerce colleges in Goa from 2nd May to 7th May 2022 from 3.30 to 5.00 pm via Google Meet to help them prepare for the upcoming GU-ART exam conducted by Goa University. The objective behind organizing these preparatory sessions was to help students achieve academic success by securing good rank at the GU-ART exam which will help in seeking admission for the Masters Programme.
M.Com Part II students volunteered to engage lectures for the students interested in enrolling for the GU-ART exam. The syllabus was divided among eight students who engaged an one-hour session each covering important concepts from the topic /subject allotted to them. Ms. Abigale Rodrigues, Faculty of PG Dept also engaged a session in the subject of Research Methodology for the students.
Ms. Pooja Shanbhag Asst Prof, PG Dept and Faculty in-charge of this activity engaged a special session for the students on preparing for entrance exams and guiding them for solving MCQs. She covered some of the main concepts and important topics from the syllabus and gave the student an overview of the GU-ART paper pattern. For better understanding, she further discussed the sample question paper and solved a few MCQs with the students to build their confidence. Towards the end she engaged the students in an interactive session wherein students got an opportunity to clear their queries and doubts with respect to answering and appearing for GU-Art. 94 students registered for the same. The sessions were well appreciated by all the registered participants. They were very happy and expressed their gratitude to the faculty in charge for organizing the sessions and requested to have similar sessions in the future.
