Street Play on Autism Awareness

On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Week from March 28 to April 3, 2022,  Counseling Cell, Literary Club and NSS Unit organized a Street Play on Autism Awareness. The play was enacted by students of the College and was held in the parking area from 12:30 to 12:55 pm.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. The symptoms of ASD can be seen in a child from 2 years onwards. With correct therapy and intervention the child can lead a life like any other individual and even hold regular jobs with correct work set up. The main aim of the street play was to create awareness about ASD among the students and the staff and also to awaken compassion towards such individuals.

The play was written and directed by Ms. Samiksha Vengurlekar, Literary Club incharge and Ms. Amba Prabhu, College Counselor. 09 students participated in the play.
