A session on “Success Toolkit for Students”
The Career and Placement Cell in collaboration with the Life Skill Committee organized “A session on Success Tool Kit for Students” on 11th March 2022 at 12:15 p.m. Dr. Jyoti Hegde, Life Skill and Corporate Trainer was the Resource Person for the same. The objective of the session was to create awareness and equip the students with certain tools to make them more happy, confident and focused in their work. The session commenced with the Welcome Address by Dr. Rodney D’silva, Vice-Principal.
The Resource Person commenced the session by introducing the students to two tools for being happy. These tools were the ‘Circle of Control and Count Your Blessings’. She emphasized that we need to focus on things within our control and express gratitude for all the things we have. Dr. Jyoti, then introduced the students to Achievement Log and List of Strengths as tools to build confidence. She familiarized the students to the 4 D method to set and achieve goals. The 4 D method stands for Dream, Define, Divide and Do. The students were also made aware of the TIME method of time management. The TIME method stresses on preparing a to-do list, doing important things first, motivating one’s self towards smaller actions and elimination of distraction. Dr. Jyoti introduced each tool to the students with an activity.
The session was very interactive as students put forth their queries. Ms. Amisha Lotlikar a student of TY B.Com compered the session and Ms. Vaidayee Patekar a student of TYBBA proposed the Vote of Thanks. 78 students attended the session.
