‘30-Hours Certificate Course in Practical Aspects of Business Accounting, Income Tax and Stock Market Operations’
The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce (M.Com) organized a 30-Hours Certificate Course in ‘Practical Aspects of Business Accounting, Income Tax and Stock Market Operations’ for the M.Com students, in order to combine the theoretical knowledge of the subjects with the practical aspects of it. The sessions were held from 06th April 2022 – 07th May 2022 in hybrid mode.
The first Speaker CA Dhanashree Prabhukhanolkar covered the topics – maintaining tally for small and medium businesses, Income tax exemptions and deductions for individuals, TDS, advance tax and filing of ITR 1, Practical uses of various types of ITR, Advanced Excel and GST registration, return filing and invoicing.
The second Speaker Mr Purv Shah BSE Trainer covered the topics – Basics of portfolio management and strategies, Exchange traded derivatives, Comparison between investment and trading in equities, technical and fundamental analysis for beginners, asset classes and their cross comparison.
Each speaker was allotted 15-hours each for their topic and discussion. It was an informative and insightful course and the students also provided a positive feedback about the course. 50 students attended the course. The students were also awarded certificates on successful completion of the course.
