30-Hour Certificate Course in “Trading Insights: Analyzing Price Movements in Financial Markets”
The SY & TY Certificate Course Committee in collaboration with the Department of Management Studies and TIP Cell organised a 30-hour Certificate course in “Trading Insights: Analyzing Price Movements in Financial Markets” from 4th August to 6th September 2023. This course aimed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding and analyzing price movements in financial markets. The Resource Person was Mr. Mahadev Gadekar, Proprietor, Aarna Financial Services.
The course commenced with a comprehensive introduction to technical analysis, laying the foundation for understanding price movements and market trends. Students learned to interpret historical price data, patterns, and trends, which are fundamental to technical analysis. Mr. Gadekar shared his valuable real-life experiences of trading with the students.
The course covered a wide range of topics in technical analysis and trading psychology, ultimately empowering students to make informed decisions in trading and investing. One of the key components of technical analysis, candlestick chart patterns, was thoroughly explained and demonstrated. Students gained insights into how to interpret and use candlestick patterns to make trading decisions. The course provided students with the tools and techniques needed to classify and identify different types of trends in financial markets. The utilization of technical indicators to assess market conditions and forecast price movements was explored. To reinforce the theoretical concepts, practical sessions were an integral part of the course. Students had the opportunity to apply their knowledge by creating dummy portfolios and practicing trading strategies. These hands-on exercises allowed students to gain valuable experience in trading within the stock market.
This course has equipped students with the tools to make informed decisions in the dynamic world of financial markets, ultimately contributing to their financial literacy and career readiness. 64 students of SY and TY B.Com &BBA(FS) attended the course.
